What we are learning
Notes/Reminders:
Language: Our focus in reading this month is our new novel Underground to Canada. Students will be completing comprehension questions and having regular quizzes to check for understanding. In writing, we will be researching and writing informational brochures on endangered species later in February.
Math: We will be learning how to measure capacity and volume, with hands-on activities.
Social Studies: We will continue our study on Samuel de Champlain and early France.
Science: We will continue with the nervous system
Arts: February heart theme art!
Ski trip is THIS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH! For students who are not coming on the ski trip, it is a regular school day.
There is a P.D. Day on February 15th and Family Day on February 18th. There is no school that Friday and Monday.
Thursday, February 14th is Twins Day and Bake Sale! Please bring about $5-10 only for that day. Treats are about 50 cents to $2.00.
