1. Stourhead Topic web Autumn 2 Let’s Celebrate
Geography
Our focus this term is the 7 continents. We will be learning where the continents are. We will then be looking at where in the world Diwali and Christmas are celebrated.
English
All of our English is focussed around the book ‘Tin Forest’. We will be learning about adjectives, prepositions, ‘ed’ and ‘ing’ words and using the conjunction ‘and’. We will be using our skills to write a story and an invitation.
History
We started our term by looking at Remembrance day. Then we will be looking at how Christmas was celebrated in the past and comparing this to today.
In art we will be looking a rangoli patterns before creating our own.
Art
P.E
We will be working with Miss Mathews to develop our multi-skills.
R.E is the main focus in this topic. We will start by looking at Hinduism, focussing on Diwali and the story of Rama and Sita. We will then be looking at the Christmas Story.

Let’s Celebrate
Science
Materials and their properties is our science focus this term. We will be finding out about different types of materials and why they are used.
Design technology
We will be designing and making our own Diva lamp before decorating it.
Maths
We are looking at: making 2 digit numbers, partitioning 2 digit numbers, adding and subtracting using equipment and on a number square.
