After the Local-Resolution Upgrade:
The Need for Sub-Stewards to provide ongoing Improvements and Maintenance After the Local-Resolution Upgrade: Critical to providing a statewide dataset that can be beneficial to users across the state at all levels Identify individuals and organizations that can help as sub-stewards for their specific areas of interest and expertise.

After the Local-Resolution Upgrade:
The Need for Sub-Stewards to provide ongoing Improvements and Maintenance After the Local-Resolution Upgrade: Provide tools for sub-stewards to easily submit corrections for… Names of new features...will also require new names in GNIS Local verification and determination of new drainage classifications (stream / canal / ditch; ephemeral / intermittent / perennial) Local verification / determination of flow direction and modeling of new local-resolution hydrography Extending / modifying new local-resolution hydrography geometry

Our Solution: OGC® Geosynchronization Service (Open Web Services)
The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Geosynchronization Service (GSS) is an open standard interface to a software service, that: Allows data editors to propose changes to be made to a data provider's geospatial features. A change proposal can be made to create new data or to modify/delete existing data. Proposed changes are reviewed by owner/reviewer (either manually or automatically) and are either accepted or rejected. Accepted changes are applied to the appropriate repositories. The service also maintains a log of all changes applied to each feature.
