dubious (adj): doubtful
Kyle regarded Shawn dubiously when he claimed that he had singlehandedly prevented a zombie apocalypse the night before. (Kyle knew this to be impossible because he is, in fact, a zombie himself…)

eloquent (adj.): having the ability to express emotion or feeling in lofty and impassioned speech
Shakespeare is a classic example of an eloquent writer—he expresses common and universal feelings in beautiful and expressive ways.

endear (v): to cause to be loved
It was their incessant gifts of flowers that really endeared the boys to Makayla. Makayla endeared herself to the boys by always bringing them donuts and Flaming Hot Cheetos for lunch.

estimable (adj.): worthy of respect
It was her estimable academic abilities that caused the young lady to be treated with such reverence.

illimitable (adj.): boundless
It was Scotty’s illimitable hatred for his fellow classmates that caused him to finally break, and throw the three most offensive down the stairs, and cackle evilly as he looked down upon their mangled bodies.

impecunious (adj.): having no money
Their impecunious state forced the two young students to beg for lunch money.

incapacitate (v.): to deprive of power, capacity, competency, or qualification
Jacob quickly incapacitated the ignominious king, and forced him to pass his crown to Jesse, the newly chosen leader.

pernicious (adj.): tending to kill or hurt
The two pernicious students attacked the helpless little boy, and viciously beat him using a combination of punches and rather cruelly aimed kicks.

doleful (adj.): melancholy
Jesse looked at the dolefully, trying to get her to reschedule the test. But she was pernicious taskmaster, and refused to change the date.

sibilant (adj.): made with a hissing sound
Kyle and Amanda criticized Kat in sibilant tones for climbing a ladder that did not belong to her. (She responded by, apparently, breaking wind in their general direction…)
