Interesting facts Baroque started in the 1600’s and ended at the end of the 1700’s. Baroque movement was encouraged by the Catholic Church. Baroque was born in Italy, then adopted in France, Germany, Netherlands, and Spain. The contrast between light and shade was very important. Painters used elements of art differently in this art movement.. The lines were usually diffused, the color monochromatic and the distance was infinite.

Conclusion I chose the Baroque period because I really love the contrast between light and dark. I also admire how artists began to paint animals and other subjects like dwarfs that weren't seen before the Baroque period.
