Very few corporate members in most developing countries Few student members Very few others

3.RESOURCES Membership fees -very limited
National Met. Services – but many still not doing this because of lack awareness of Met. Society

4. ACTIVITIES Newsletters/ Journal Conferences/ workshops
Shows/ festivities/ schools Research pamphlets

5. CHALLENGES Lack of awareness – NMHS and others concerned
Fear of competition Few activities Little international cooperation between Met. Societies Improve resources Lack of capacity

6. CONCLUSIONS Creation of awareness – public
Improve collaboration with national Met. Services and related Institutions Need capacity building Improve cooperation between Met. Societies internationally
