From lying in bed most days to walking dog, spending time with grand-daughter, shopping etc.

Only if we are doing something are we providing health and care

We have to change first to facilitate change in our patients.
We do not need more staff but we need to work differently, in a more integrated way and in real partnership with our community.
A good quality conversation is itself a health and care intervention.
Gradually in Fife, I am finding our mindset is shifting. I generated this list of changes with healthcare staff involved in the Shine project. Interestingly now, they have asked to change the language to people not patients, health and social care not just healthcare, staff, not just doctors and nurses.
