2 RETIREMENT ELIGIBILITY
Regular staff and faculty who work at least 20 hours or more per work week; At least age 55; At least 10 years of service (at least half-time with breaks less than one year or 24 months if due to a Reduction in Force); Retire from a paid-regular status or disability LOA; and Total years of age and service must equal at least 75

3 STEPS TO RETIREMENT Decide when you want to retire and how you want to spend your time. Evaluate your expenses and income. Make an appointment with the Social Security Administration if you plan to retire at age 65 or later. Schedule an initial appointment with your Benefits Specialist.

4 STEPS TO RETIREMENT Contact your financial planner and/or your respective Retirement Plan Representative from Fidelity, TIAA and/or Vanguard. Notify your department of your retirement date at least 60 days in advance. Schedule the final appointment with your Benefits Specialist to complete the necessary paperwork.

7 Dependents cannot be added after you retire.
PRE-65 RETIREE MEDICAL Aetna POS Medical Plan Available to Pre-65 retirees and covered dependents Premium Cost Shared by Emory Applies if hired prior to 1/1/03 Total Premium Cost Applies if hired on or after 1/1/03 Dependents cannot be added after you retire. If medical coverage is cancelled, you cannot re-enroll at a later date.

9 RETIREE DENTAL PLAN Aetna Traditional Plan Coverage includes:
$1500 annual benefits maximum Preventive care covered at 100% $50 deductible for basic and major services Basic Service 90/10% in-network 80/20% out-of-network Major Service 50/50% in and out-of-network

11 EYEMED VISION PLAN If you retire during the year, you may continue existing vision coverage through COBRA. You may enroll for retiree vision during Annual Enrollment for the upcoming year. The entire premium is due at the time of your enrollment. 2018 Vision Plan Contributions EYE MED VISION CARE ANNUAL RATE Retiree Only $134.16 Retiree+ Spouse $254.40 Retiree + Child(ren) $267.84 Family $394.32 You must re-enroll each year to continue Retiree Vision Coverage.

12 Turning 65 – The Process Pre-65 Medical will terminate at the end of month prior to your 65th birthday About 60 days prior to your 65th birthday, the Benefits Department will send a mailing about the process – Enroll for Medicare Parts A & B: Enroll online at or Visit your local Social Security Administration Office Review Medicare Supplemental and Part D Prescription Plans Enroll for your new Medicare Plans On your own (using other resources) or Using One Exchange Regions Insurance will make necessary billing adjustments Contact your Benefits Specialist if you have questions about the process.

13 Health Reimbursement Arrangement Account (HRA)
Emory contributes $ per month for eligible Post-65 Retirees and Covered Spouses Use funds to reimburse eligible medical expenses Part B premiums, medical plan premiums, prescriptions, etc. Reimbursements processed by OneExchange If eligible, please contact OneExchange about reimbursement – even if you do not enroll using their assistance.
