3 Tests for biological molecules
1. Carefully follow the instructions to carry out tests for biological molecules. 2. Use your knowledge from practical 2.1 to identify the substances in practical 2.2 3. Write a full lab report on practical 2.2 Use a hot plate instead of a Bunsen burner! DISPOSAL Solutions for the following tests can be washed down the drain with EXCESS WATER: Starch, Protein, Lipids DO NOT WASH AWAY THE BENEDICT’S SOLUTION  Collect it in the waste container! Safety Wear eye protection. Take care when using heating apparatus. Dilute sodium hydroxide solution is an irritant. If it contacts the skin, wash off immediately with plenty of water.
