imperatives Use imperatives to give ORDERS and INSTRUCTIONS.
+ Positive imperatives: VERB (INFINITIVE) Open your books. Negative imperatives: DON’T + VERB (INFINITIVE) Don’t use a pencil. Add PLEASE to be polite. Open your books, please.

imperatives We often use BE + ADJECTIVE.
Be quiet. Be careful. Don’t use PRONOUNS with imperatives. Stop the car. NOTYou stop the car. Turn right. Don’t speak.

Let’s play football. Let’s go home. Use LET’S NOT + VERB (INIFINITIVE) to make negative suggestions. Let’s not wait. Let’s not go out.
