The Open Grid Computing Environments Collaboratory Funded by the NSF National Middleware Initiative OGCE OGCE OGCE Architecture: Portlets and Services for Science Gateways The Java CoG provides an abstraction layer over different toolkits and capabilities. The OGCE collaboration develops portlets and portal tools for supporting science gateways. GT2 GT3 OGSA/ WS-RF SSH Condor Unicore CoG Abstraction Layer (job submission, file transfer, authentication) CoG Applications Data and Task Management Layer (workflow) Gridfaces Layer (portals, Swing, SWF) Others Avaki SETI Nano materials Bio- Informatics Disaster Management Portals GridIDE Development Support Java Server Face tag libraries and GridPort backing bean codes simplify Grid portlet development. (Right) Interoperable OGCE and GridPort JSR 168 portlets manage Grid credentials across portlet apps and provide access to Grid resources such as GridFTP, (WS-)GRAM, and Condor.
