A, Sagittal T1-weighted MRI at the time of initial presentation shows an approximately 3-cm contrast-enhancing mass in the third ventricle and suprasellar cistern. B, Follow-up imaging (T1-weighted with gadolinium) approximately 3 months later shows a significant increase in the size of the tumor to approximately 4 cm in maximal dimension. C, Axial T1-weighted MRI with gadolinium enhancement just prior to resection shows further increase in the size of the tumor as well as development of hydrocephalus. D, Immediate postoperative T1-weighted MRI with gadolinium contrast shows gross total resection of the tumor via an interhemispheric transcallosal approach.
