LECTURE 10: Select Concept Presentations

2. Oral Presentation
You will give a 5-10 minutes presentation on your self-concept, and the formation of your self-concept. Do not attempt to simply read your essay as you will not be allowed to go over the 5-10 minutes time allotment. Use your paper as a reference from which you develop your key talking points. You should organize your presentation as such:
Introduce Yourself
Describe your personal, social and cultural background
Discuss personal and professional experiences that have shaped your identity
Discuss significant influences that have helped to shape your identity
Discuss how your self-concept impacts interactions with others.
You must have a visual aid in either PP, Keynote or Prezi format for this assignment that is either a collage of personal photos, recorded clips or other visual representations of yourself and cultural identity. You must incorporate a visual aid that clearly addresses and analyzes personal, social and cultural characteristics of your identity, and be sure to explain any photos/videos included in your visual aid. Your visuals should connect to what you are discussing about yourself during the presentation, but should not be a lecture of talking points (so more images and limited text).
