3. Format Parallel Sessions – 10 minutes*
Question & Answers to panel of authors/presenters after presentations
*some of the films are a bit longer

4. Keeping to Time Do not read out your whole paper!
Yellow Card – 3 minute warning
Red Card – 1 minute wind down

5. Structure
Introduction: who are you? where are you from? what will you be speaking about?
Content:
Context: Where? When? What is the rural water supply situation? What is the government doing?
Methodology: What was done? How? Why?
Results: what happened? why?
Conclusion: sum up the key points of what was done; what was achieved and learned? what should happen next?

6. Using PowerPoint – Golden Rules
Avoid having more than three bullet points per slide
Each bullet point should be no longer two lines long.
Use sub-bullets for additional detail
The text should be your key messages – not your speech script!

How many slides?
10 minutes = No more then 10
Do I have to use PowerPoint?
No, if you have a more interesting and creative way to tell your story then use it!

13. Films
Films will be shown in plenary and parallel sessions like oral presentations
The presenter should spend no more than 2 minutes introducing the film
At the end the presenter may add any short clarifications or additional points

14. What do to now… Plan and prepare your presentation
Write a half page biography
to not later than Monday 7th November
