This was a time of great and rapid changes, when people switched from making goods by hand to manufacturing goods with power driven machines. Form a Prediction: How did the assembly line change production in the United States?

The steel industry grew to keep up with the railroad industry and other industries need for strong metal How would this effect American society? Steel was tougher, cheaper, and easier to shape than iron. It was used to construct railroads, bridges, locomotives, factory machines, buildings, and many other things.
