3 Factors that influence alcohol use
Peer Pressure Family Media Messages Activity: Discuss with a partner 2 ways each of these can encourage someone to drink 1 way each of these can discourage someone to drink. List on the Front dry erase board how they can encourage. List on the back board how they can discourage.

4 Risks of Alcohol Use pgs. 573-575
Read pages and in your opinion, what is the greatest risk for using alcohol. Then, Get into groups of 3 to 4 Each group member shares what they feel is the greatest risk. Everyone must agree on the greatest risk for use. Be prepared to discuss with the class.

5 Benefits of Living Alcohol-Free
Maintaining a healthy body Establishing healthy relationships Making healthy decisions Avoiding risky behaviors Avoiding illegal activities Avoiding violence Achieving your goals

6 Refusing Alcohol - ACTIVITY
Examples Directions: Write down as many ways as possible not to drink alcohol for each of the following examples You arrive at a party and see that other teens are drinking. You’re at a family gathering (wedding) and a relative is offering you alcohol. You are riding in a car with some friends and they suggest going to a party where alcohol is being served.
