Integrated approaches developed and delivered through effective partnerships are vital These include but are not limited to: Municipality Education and training providers Businesses and business intermediaries Public employment services Financial institutions Research agencies Civil society 4

Skills forecasting (qualitative and quantitative) is important at city / functional economic area level A skilled workforce is an important part of a medium sized city’s (re)positioning strategy. 5
