Psalm 130:7 “O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.”

5. Psalm 131:3 “O Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore.”

6. Hope In
Humanity

Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident: fornication, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Humanity is a cesspool of sin on average. It is easy to find oneself loosing heart when one sees so many people living happily in sin.
Thus God delivered to us “hope in humanity” with the church.
Christians can “hope” or “rely” on each other to help us with our struggle with sin. (SLIDE)

8. Galatians 6:1-2 “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
What a spiritual blessing it is to hope in your brethren to be there for you!!!

9. James 1:27 “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
What a spiritual blessing it is to hope in your brethren to be there for you!!!

11. 1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.”
Brothers and sisters we have hope in eternity. Hope of not only being there one day but hope in seeing others of like minded faith. (SLIDE)

12. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”
