Labs from Units 2, 3, and 4: Guided Inquiry: Molarity, Set Up Lab Equipment, Begin Lab Set Up
2
Warm Up 1. If you have a 43.4 g of sodium chloride and 1 L of water, what is the molarity of your solution? 2. How much more water do you need to add to make a 0.05 M solution? (Hint: Use M1V1=M2V2) TIME: 6 MINUTES WHEN DONE: Show me Lab Setup in your notebook
3
Agenda Notes: Titration Set Up Lab Complete Lab
4
Titration A titration is an analytical technique in which one can calculate the concentration of a solute in a solution.
5
Titration A solution of known concentration, called a standard solution, is used to determine the unknown concentration of another solution. The reaction is complete at the equivalence point.
7
Set Up Lab READ: Pre-Lab Set Up WATCH: Demonstration to set up lab
THEN: Set Up Your Lab TIME: Until Last 5 minutes of class and then clean up WHEN DONE: Show me your lab set up and begin first titration
8
Complete Lab READ: Instructions carefully COLLECT: Data
RAISE YOUR HAND: If you and your partner need help TIME: Until Last 5 minutes of class and then clean up WHEN DONE: Clean Up Area and show data
