1. Tamanend Freshman Day and Dance
Friday, June 9th, 2017

2. Agenda
Homeroom- Pick up yearbooks (A limited amount of yearbooks will be available for sale if you did not pre-order one).
Breakfast & yearbook signing
Briarwood Day Camp for fun in the sun, DJ and activities.
Barbecue lunch provided.
Return to Tamanend in time for dismissal at 2:30 p.m.
Freshman Dance : 8—11 p.m.

3. Freshman Day
Only currently enrolled Tamanend 9th graders who are NOT on social probation are able to attend the Freshman Day activities including the Freshman Dance.
Please note that behaviors leading up to this day could result in losing the privilege to attend the day/dance.
 Bathing suits and appropriate change of clothes.
Hats and sunglasses are permitted (do not wear these items inside Tamanend)
 Bring a towel!!
 Bring/wear sun screen

4. Freshman Dance “Promposals” are NOT permitted.
This is not a mini-prom.
Dresses, shirt, tie, and pants are appropriate.
No limousines!
You do not need to come to the dance with a date.
Students may not leave the dance early.
*If you are purchasing flowers from Blue Violet they will donate 10% of the proceeds to TMS.

5. Expectations
All school rules are in effect for the Freshman Day and Dance. Here are some other items to remember.
You are representing Tamanend. We are always proud that the Briarwood Camp Staff tells us how polite our students are.
Always follow the direction of Tamanend Staff and Briarwood Camp Staff
Fun is important, but safety is number one!
No matter what the weather is like… make the best of it!
Parents have been planning and working hard to make this morning and dance extra-special for you. Let them know you are thankful.

6. Leaving Early?
Be sure to note this on the Permission Slip in My Payments plus
*Directions to Briarwood are available in the Main Office.

7. Cost Total for Freshman Day and Dance $35.00
Cost for Freshman Day only $25.00
will be sent home on Friday, May 19th with the information for My Payments Plus. Please complete by Friday June 2nd.
