A solid that is naturally occurring, inorganic with a fixed chemical composition, and a crystal form.

6. By solid we mean…
ANY object with a definite shape and a definite volume. NOT LIQUIDS OR GASES.

7. Naturally occurring means …
an object that is found naturally on the Earth.
Minerals are not made BY humans.
Cement and Glass are NOT minerals. Why?

8. Inorganic means… Minerals are not made OF plants or animals.
NOT formed from living things or the remains of living things.
It is not alive, and it was never alive
