Comets are small ice worlds left over from the formation of the planets. They may have changed our planet when they kept crashing into us early in our planet’s history- possibly giving us Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and water.

8. Although Philae is now hibernating, it has sent back lots of data for scientists to analyse.
The surface is covered by dust and debris ranging from millimetre to metre sizes.
One thing they already know is the surface is harder than they expected because the temperature probe broke! That’s also probably why the landing harpoon didn’t work!
Hopefully as Philae becomes closer to the Sun during August next year it might wake up and start giving us even more information.
