8.- What change should be made in sentence 14?
Revise and Edit 8.- What change should be made in sentence 14? Carlos Arroyo Jazlyn Duran Diego Sanchez

Wrong answers F.- It’s a grammatical error since the verb is used in the wrong tense therefore the sentence makes no sense. G.- The sentence is listing a series of events or actions then it must use a comma. H.- Allies is a personal pronoun since it was an alliance made during the World War II consisting of American, British, Russian and French forces.

Correct answer J:inserting a comma after war makes more sense than any other question. It shows a change of the sentence(extra information). Sentence 14: By the time the Allies liberated the Nazi concentration camps near concentration camps near the end of the war, the young Wiesel had suffered the deaths of his family members, the loss of innocence , and growing doubts about his faith.

Strategies used Underline the sentence that was supposed to be modified. Check the answers and modify how the answers said. If it made no sense it was discarded.

Incorrect Answers #9 What change, if any, should be made in sentence 16? Change Prize to prize is wrong because you always add capital to any award, Nobel Peace Prize is know as a award. Change acceptance to exceptance is wrong because the word “exceptance” is not even a word you can find in a dictionary . D. No change should be made in this sentence is wrong because C is the correct answer.

Correct Answer C. Insert a comma after stated is correct because you add a comma before quotation when someone asserts something.

10. What change, if any, needs to be made in sentence 18?
By Odalyz Terrazas Robert Guevara Aimee Reyna

Incorrect Answers Letter G is incorrect because the comma after Dawn is necessary because it helps the sentence flow and make sense. Letter H is incorrect because the term heel has a different meaning from the word heal. Heel means the back part of a human foot behind the arch and below the ankle, and heal is to make healthy or whole. Letter J is incorrect because there is “change” to be needed.

Correct Answer The correct answer is F because the phrase “had written” is a past perfect tense and “wrote” is a past tense. These tenses are different because past perfect tense is an action begun and completed in the past before another action occurred, and a past tense is a completed action.

Leadership Activity

Leadership Activity Brainstorm a list of everyday leaders (ex: a parent, a friend, someone they thought showed an act of bravery or kindness, etc.) Write a brief note thanking that person for showing others what great leadership looks like Example: Dear Jamie, Yesterday, as I was walking to lunch, I saw a freshman sitting in the hall crying. I didn’t know her, so I kept walking. You stopped and asked her what was the matter and then helped her find the counselor’s office. I found your act of kindness to inspiring. Thank you for showing me what a great leader does by assisting someone in need. I hope the next time I see someone weeping, I can be as brave as you. Sincerely, Maya
