2. Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus , known as Cristoforo Colombo was born sometime before October 31,1451 the exact date is not known due to lack of record keeping during that time. It is believed by most that he was born in the Republic of Genoa which is part of Italy. His parents were Domenico Colombo and Susanna Fontanarossa. Columbus had three brothers and one sister. Christopher’s father was a middle class wool wever.

3. Vasco Nunez de Balboa
Balboa was born sometime in the year The exact time is not known due to poor record keeping at the time. He was born in Jerez de los Caballeros, Spain. His mother ,Lady de Badajoz and father Nuno Arias de Balboa were of noble birth. By the time, Balboa was born his family had lost much of its land, wealth ,and power.

4. John Cabot
John Cabot ,also known as Giovanni Caboto, was born sometime in 1450 in the Republic of Geonoa ,Italy. He was the son of Giulio Caboto, a spice merchant and his wife. At age 11,Cabot’s family moved to Venice, Italy. As a young man Venice, Cabot learned sailing and navigation from Italian seaman and merchants. Cabot took a job dealing in martime trade. His most prominent route appears to have been to the mideastern Mediterranean. Most of his wealth came from this trade route.
