The Final, Final Word I have learned that MIS is a development and use of information systems that help businesses achieve their goals and objectives. Hopefully, in my career as business professional I will have sufficient MIS knowledge to be an informed and effective consumer of information technology products and services. I should be able to ask pertinent questions, and need to have knowledge to manage effectively and to make wise decisions.

Three Key Elements The three key elements of Management Information Systems are: Components of information systems, Development and use of information systems, Achieving business goals and objectives.

What I Learned I learned more about the hardware, software, and data processes of information systems, which are three of the five aspects of the 5 component framework. Hardware- desktops, laptops, and PDAs Software- Operating systems, application programs Data- Facts and figures YOU are the most important aspect in the information system process. Your ability to think, analyze and enter data is extremely important.

The Final, Final Word I have also learned how you can be a user of information systems, the roles you need to know if you are an manager in departments, and mainly how you need to be able to think strategically about information systems.
