2. The present perfect tense
We use the present perfect tense to show actions that are completed and we are interested in the present result.
Ben is eating a chicken leg.
Ben has eaten a chicken leg.

3. The present perfect tense
We cannot use the present perfect tense with adverbs of time, e.g. yesterday, last year, in 1990, five years ago. X
I have played with sand last Saturday.
 I played with sand last Saturday.

In the present perfect tense, we use yet with questions or negative (no) sentences.
Have you eaten the apples yet? (question)
No, I haven’t eaten the apples yet. (negative)
Yet goes at the END of the sentence or question.

9. Already / just / yet
In the present perfect tense, we use already with positive (yes) sentences.
Have you eaten the apples yet? (question)
Yes, I’ve already eaten the apples. (positive)
or Yes, I’ve eaten the apples already. (positive)
Already goes in the MIDDLE or at the END of the sentence.

10. Just goes in the MIDDLE of the sentence.
Already / just / yet
In the present perfect tense, we can also use just with positive (yes) sentences.
Have you eaten the apples yet? (question)
Yes, I’ve just eaten the apples. (positive)
Just goes in the MIDDLE of the sentence.
