Crystal structure of Diamond
Diamond structure is like a face-centered cubic(FCC) lattice. Each carbon atom joins four other carbon atoms in regular tetrahedrons. A tetrahedron has four faces and six edges. It is like an Egyptian pyramid in which the base is a triangle instead of a square.

Diamond structure Imagine a face-centered cubic lattice!
Diamond is composed of pure carbon.
