Held in Chicago Large amount of protestors outside Chicago Police were very rough on protestors Two reporters – Mike Wallace and Dan Rather were beaten on the Convention Floor by police Cronkite used word – “thugs” – “Gestapo” in his broadcast Richard Nixon was elected that night.
