2. Transfer of IFAST Secretariat to ATIS
CTIA resigned as Secretariat in 1999.
TIA volunteered to perform the function on an interim basis, i.e., until a permanent entity could be identified.
TIA staff informed IFAST Chairman that they are understaffed and that the function was larger than anticipated.
IFAST Chairmen, supported by IFAST Management Team, opened negotiations with the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS).
Ed Hall transfers from CTIA to ATIS.
Agreement reached with ATIS, including level of funding.
IFAST Management Team supported the agreement.
IFAST Chairmen informed its membership and ATIS announced the agreement.
ATIS prepared to assume function from this meeting forward.
