2 The Parable Of The Two Sons
Matthew 21:28-32

3 “Son, go work to day in my vineyard”
There Is Work To Be Done “Son, go work to day in my vineyard” God expects His children to work (1 Cor. 15:58) There is worshipping to be done (Acts 2:42) There is teaching and preaching to be done (Acts 8:4) There is other service to be rendered (Gal. 6:10) God expects His children to work today (cf. Jn. 9:4; Heb. 3:13; Eccl. 9:10)

4 There Is A Proper Place To Work “in my vineyard”
Vineyards always had defined parameters Defined by surroundings (Matt. 21:33) These were to be mutually respected Parameters are well defined for today All pertain to the gospel (Mk. 16:15) Do not add to or take away (Gal. 1:6-10; 2 Jn. 9-10; Rev. 22:18-19)

5 There Is A Commitment To Be Honored “I go, sir, but went not”
It is not enough to promise to serve (James 1:22-25) It is not enough to just take the first steps (Heb. 3:14) Becoming a Christian is the beginning, not completion of our obedience Becoming a Christian puts us in a position to live a life of obedience (Eph. 2:10)

6 There Is Opportunity For Repentance “he repented and went”
A sinner does not have to remain a sinner (cf. 2 Peter 3:9) He regretted {NASB}; changed his mind {ESV} (2 Cor. 7:10) All have this opportunity (Acts 17:30)
