AFF > Advanced Search > In the “Refine your search text box,” enter your Topic or table name = Type “median age” > Geography = Type “Dallas County, Texas” > Click “GO” >
Next, using the “Refine your search results” enter your topic in the Topic or table name box. Then enter your geography of interest in the state, county or place box. Then click “Go.” Your results will be refined based on your text entries and will display in “Your Selections.”

To refine your search further, click on the Topics tab. You can refine your search by year, dataset, program or sub categories under each topic.

You can use the List tab and drill down through the drop box selections or go to the Name tab and enter geography in the text box. The system will offer a box with suggestions. You can continue to type entry or make a selection from the box. The Name tab also allows a deeper look into the geographies that might not display through the List tab.

To refine search further, click on topics. Topic categories display. Select Dataset = 2010 SF1 100% data. Close Select Topics window. Select Geographies, Type in text box – Galveston County, TX. Click Go. In Geographies results; check Galveston County, TX. Click Add. Close the Select Geographies window. Check table P13B, then click View. Your results page displays. And your answer is:
Answer: Dallas County, TX
Galveston County, TX

7. Map Results Using the Exercise
Once you have your results, and at least 2 like geographies, you can select create a map to show your statistics results. You can also review boundaries and change colors of statistics class. You are also able to find a location and mark that spot using a map marker and type in text to reflect that location on the map.
