2. Old Granaries
In the old days they were used for storing grain. Now they are museums.

3. Mill Island
It is a big island in the middle of the city, created by the Brda River.
You can find lots of attractions there: four museums, a playground,
an open-air theatre and even a sandy beach.

4. Cathedral
This is the oldest and the most beautiful church in our city. It was built in the gothic style. Inside, you can admire a miraculous painting called „ Madonna with a Rose”.

5. Mostowa Street
From the bridge you have a wonderful view of the river and some city's landmarks.
One of them is a sculpture hanging over the water.
It is called „A Man Crossing the River”.

6. Old Market Square
In front of the City Hall you can see the Monument to Struggle and Martydom. It commemorates Bydgoszcz citizens killed by the Nazis during World War II.

7. Opera Nova
Every spring artists from all over the world come to Bydgoszcz for the International Opera Festival.
In autumn in the opera buildings you can meet famous cameramen, actors and directors. They take part in an international festival called „Plus Camerimage”.

8. 'Pod Orłem' Hotel
The oldest hotel in Bydgoszcz is located in Gdańska Street.
It is an impressive building with lots of decorations
and a huge eagle on the roof. You can't miss it!

9. Archeress
The statue appeared in Bydgoszcz in It was made by a famous German sculptor Ferdinand Lepcke. Soon, the Archeress became one of the symbols of our city. You can see a copy of the statue on Musem Island in Berlin.
