We have to care about them! The idea of love is that we care! Jesus cared – Matthew 9:36, 14:14 Paul cared – 2 Corinthians 12:14-15, 1 Corinthians 9:22 cf. 2 Corinthians 5:11 They cared about souls! The Christian & others

Be an example Do we seek to make the gospel as attractive as possible? Inherent in our faith is some hostility from others – John 3:19-21, 15:18-19, 1 John 3:13 We cannot hide the truth from others. BUT what we can control we need to! (Attitudes, pure actions, etc.) – Peter 2:11-12 The Christian & others

Help them when we can We are to be servants! That is about others! Jesus came to help others - Matthew 20:26-28 cf. John 13:12-15 Caring for the needy – James 1:27, Luke 14:12-14 The Christian & others

Help them when we can Sadly, many seek to “hire” the church to do their part! We can step in where the church is limited (cf. 1 Timothy 5:16) The Christian & others

Pray for them Something we can all do, and perhaps more often than we do now. James 5:16, Ephesians 6:18 – for our brethren 1 Timothy 2:1-2 – for all men Matthew 5:44 – for our enemies The Christian & others

Evangelism is about others While not everyone has the same abilities in this, there is always something we can do. IF we desire to change our society, it will be done one soul at a time The Christian & others

Galatians 6:10 It begins with you – do you take your faith seriously? cf. Jeremiah 20:9 Be salt and light – you have to LIVE your faith! The Christian & others

You have to be looking – Walk circumspectly (mindfully) – Ephesians 5:15 Cf. John 4:7-10 When they mention “church”, moral issues, Bible words. Can you lead secular topics toward spiritual topics? Invite people to services The Christian & others

Pray about it – Prayer is needed in every situation Ephesians 6:18-19 Colossians 4:3, “open doors” The Christian & others

Study God’s word – 2 Timothy 2:15 The more you know, the more confident you will be in telling it to others. (cf. 1 Peter 3:15) The Christian & others

Be willing to sacrifice – There is cost to serving Him. Will we pay it? Will we give time to pursue opportunities? Will we give up other things for them? 2 Corinthians 12:15 The Christian & others

The richness of being a Christian is more developed and more appreciated when we include others – whether it be our brethren or in seeking others to teach.
