Amenhotep IV- came to power in B.C.E. (Akhenaton) He was threatened by priests Amenhotep IV closed temples and set up a new religion where only one god was worshiped. Only a few accepted the monotheism.

Tutankhamen- Amenhotep IV’s son- in-law who died after 9 years of rule.
Slowly Egypt lost power because of struggles between priests and pharaohs. (and $ on wars) 1150 B.C.E.- empire was gone. 671 B.C.E.- Egypt taken over by the Assyrians.
