After 9.10 children will receive a U code. This counts an an unauthorised absence.
10 of these are likely to result in a referral to the school attendance team which could ultimately lead to a fine of £60 per parent per child or more.

3. Its surprising how much lateness can add up. Your child’s education
is important and being late will mean:-
* Missing the beginning of lessons
*Not hearing important information about school and lessons.
Research has shown that there is a close link between
attendance at school and a
child’s achievement. Being late adds up to a loss of learning:
