Our Goal for today… 1. Communities & Careers 2. Graduation Plans 3. What you do today… We have talked about grad plans and endorsements and electives – now let’s talk about schools of choice or the community you student will be in next year. You may have already done this, but if not…we are going to tell you a little bit about school of choice . 8 Graduation Plans FOUNDATION PLAN with ENDORSEMENTS- 26 Credits
DISTINGUISHED PLAN - 26 Credits (Must take Algebra 2 with an Endorsement) Only option to be considered top 10% automatic admission – UT varies The wording associated with the plans has changed but the way kids actually take courses has not Majorly changed FOUNDATION PLAN - 22 Credits

ENDORSEMENTS STEM Business & Industry Public Service 4) Arts & Humanities Multidisciplinary Students may earn more than 1 endorsement! An area of study (similar to a college major) that a students select to prepare them for post secondary ed or a career

11 Do the courses I took in middle school count?
YES - If your middle school awards high school credit, it transfers to us. NO – Courses taken in middle school that receive high school credit do not count in GPA

16 Schedule Change Guidelines
Please choose your courses carefully for next year. Our classes are set up according to what you request So…. Making changes after school begins must meet specific criteria. Schedule changes can only be made through the first week of school. Communities can only be changed during registration each year.
