Hold the arm and base when carrying the microcope Magnifies the specimen, 4x,, 10 x or 40x Stage Stage Clips Holds the Slide with Specimen Secures the slide and coverslip in place Diaphragm Base Adjust the amount of light that enters the viewing area Supports the microscope. Hold the microscope at the base when transporting. Light Source Mirror or Electric Light to help in viewing the specimen
