4. Mining by Explosives
Explosives are used to destroy huge amounts of rocks to find coal or other minerals.
Point out the explosives is mainly used on the surface in the gif.

5. Mining Underground
Describe: 1st picture shows a truck shoveling rocks and dirt that would be dumped into a truck similar to the one in picture 2 where it would be taken away for disposal elsewhere. The third picture shows a mantrip, which is like a train or shuttle that transport miners underground.

6. What do we mine for?
Point out diamonds, gold, silver, gems and most importantly, coal. Then transition to next slide to explain why coal is important.

7. Coal is Energy We mine to get coal.
We then transform the coal into energy.
Point out the 1st picture is coal, second is factories transforming coal to energy, and third is the energy we create.
