meets the ERC requirement, simple
adaptation to the usage environment and scenario not possible
Active TPC
can be defined to meet the ERC requirement, slightly more complex
standardize power levels and signaling, not the algorithm
possibility to reduce interference that will result in higher network and system throughput -> more APs in the same area
