3 How do you prepare for the ACT Exam??
Every Junior received an ACT Practice Guide during credit checks Juniors have been placed in ACT Prep during their Advisory Ryan Fitzgibbons ~ Tutors Across America ~ ACT Boot Camp Presidents’ Day Weekend February 15th - 18th (no Sunday)

9 How to Pay for College?? The Federal Government - Federal Grants, Federal Student Loans, employment through the Federal Work-Study Program State Government - State Financial Aid Colleges and Universities - Financial Aid, Scholarships Millennium Scholarship Nevada Promise Scholarship AP Test Scores

10 Receive a qualified score on a college entrance examination
You must finish high school with an overall 3.25 GPA for all coursework OR Receive a qualified score on a college entrance examination ACT ~ combined score of 21 or higher SAT ~ combined score of 1070 or higher Also….you must have completed the minimum core curriculum requirements: English Credits Math (including Algebra II or higher 4 Credits Natural Science Credits Social Science and History Credits

11 Free Application for Federal Student Aid
An Office of the US Department of Education Applications can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students Submit the FAFSA to apply for free college aid like scholarships and grants, in addition to federal student loans October 1st ~ window opens to apply!!

12 Standard Diploma 22 ½ Credits of approved coursework
20 units in the required areas of study 2 ½ units of elective credit in approved coursework 4 Credits from each of the 4 core subject areas English Mathematics Science Social Studies Mathematics course units must include at least Geometry or above Students must complete 100 hours of Community Service

13 Advanced Diploma 24 credits of approved coursework
20 units in the required areas of study 2 ½ units of elective credit in approved coursework 4 Credits from each of the 4 core subject areas English Mathematics Science Social Studies Mathematics course units must include at least Algebra II or above Weighted GPA must be 3.25 or higher Students must complete 100 hours of Community Service

14 Diploma of Distinction
24 credits of approved coursework 20 units in the required areas of study 2 ½ units of elective credit in approved coursework 12 units in Honors and/or Advanced Placement Courses in any subject 4 Credits from each of the 4 core subject areas English Mathematics Science Social Studies Mathematics course units must include at least Algebra II or above Weighted GPA must be 3.50 or higher Students must complete 100 hours of Community Service
