Grace Fellowship Church
Pastor/Teacher Jim Rickard Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Title Page Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template: 1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background. 3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation. 4.There are a few additional notes written in the slide text wording that may be helpful. Note: We are working on a website that in the future will provide help topics on using sermon outlines in PowerPoint as well as provide sermon templates similar to this one. Check for more information.

Doxology Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.—Amen.

Memory Verse Phil 2:5, “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus.”

John 15: Obstructions to Divine Good Production: Reason #1: Satan’s Cosmic System hates the believer! Reason #2: We are not of this world-Election out from the World! Reason #3: “The servant is not greater than his Lord,” therefore we too will have persecutions!

Reason # 4 – John 15:21: “The Cosmos does not know God and is ignorant to His Plan.”

“But all these things” refers to the previously mentioned persecutions the disciple would undergo.

Principles: 1. “All these things” is a reference to Satan in the business of exalting self and opposing God.

2. Satan is therefore in opposition to the Plan of God
2. Satan is therefore in opposition to the Plan of God. He has designed a plan to counter the Plan of God.

3. He has designed systems of culture, politics, education, in order to obscure and ridicule the Plan of God.

4. He is the author of religion and legalism, and he is doing everything he can to discredit grace and discredit the Plan of God during the Church Age.

“They will do to you all.” The future persecutions brought against believers in the Lord Jesus Christ by those of Satan’s Cosmic System.

Principles: 1. This refers to anyone who is involved in Satan’s system.

2. Satan’s warfare adapts itself to times and conditions.

a. Sometimes he seeks to destroy all believers on the earth, when history is right for it, and at other times he seeks to discredit believers on the earth.

b. Sometimes he entices the believer away with false doctrine and sometimes he just wipes the believer out with those who have false doctrine.

c. Sometimes he entices believers away through lustful sin and prosperity, and other times he tries to wipe them out through adversity and poverty.

3. His tactics may change but his goal always remains the same: Stop Christ from being believed upon in the world.

“For the sake of My name.” The problem of self righteous legalism as a substitute for true faith.

Principles: 1. This is the false motivation behind most persecution.

2. Vs. 20 persecution came to the Church because “they persecuted Christ” who is no longer on the earth, so they turned their attention to those who are “In Christ.”

3. Vs. 21 we have the misguided motivation for these persecutions: Self righteous crusader arrogance.

4. This identifies who will do the persecutions and therefore, who is from Satan’s Cosmic System.

5. Those that persecute others in the name of God or in the name of Jesus Christ are truly those of “the world”, Satan’s Cosmic System.

6. Therefore the legalistic believer, like the Pharisees, will persecute the Grace Oriented believer having been totally deceived by Satan resulting in false motivation.

7. The arrogant legalistic person self justifies his persecutions; wrongly thinking he is doing the work of the Lord.

8. The self righteous religious type persecutes with the false motivation thinking they are serving Christ as they persecute those who are teaching grace.
