2 Velocity The velocity is the derivative of the position
Velocity is a vector. It has direction and magnitude. Velocity is the antiderivative of the acceleration

3 Acceleration Acceleration is the derivative of velocity and the second derivative of position, Acceleration is a vector and has direction and magnitude.

4 Speed Speed is the absolute value of velocity
Speed is the magnitude (length) of the velocity vector Speed is not a vector , it has no direction Speed is non-negative

5 Increasing / Decreasing Speed
If the velocity and acceleration have the same sign, then the speed is increasing. If velocity and acceleration have different signs, the speed is decreasing. If the velocity graph is moving away from the t-axis the speed is increasing . If the velocity graph is moving toward the t-axis the speed is decreasing .
