This summer, we made multiple trips to the beach and back. On one trip we left at 4:00 pm and stopped for dinner for ¾ of an hour. It is 180 miles from my house to the beach and our average travel speed was 60 mph. What time did we arrive at the beach for this trip?

Over the Summer, my 2 brothers, my cousin, my dad, my 2 grandparents and I went to an amusement park in Pennsylvania. Each ticket costs $ My grandmother had coupons for $5 off per ticket. How much money did my grandmother spend on tickets?

First I did 4pm + ¾ of an hour (which is 45 minutes) and got 4:45pm. Then I took 180 miles and divided it by 60 mph and got 3 hours. I added 3 hours to 4:45pm and got 7:45pm as my final answer.
