DataConnect Foundation Project The PowerSchool SIS replacement will act as foundation project in a phased approach of providing greater access to quality student data via NB DataConnect Access to quality information will result in improved processes for prioritization, planning, management and accountability associated with the academic success of every student in our educational system. Ability to focus of resources on priorities identified through access to relevant, timely and quality information will result in improved student achievement. 3

4. Why Replace WinSchool? Pearson stopped supporting and upgrading WinSchool in July 2012 WinSchool is a school based system with 320+ databases Limited functional flexibility, no web based access Growing number of workarounds Able to provide web-based access for administrators, teachers, parents and students Pearson will continue the WinSchool support until the end of the implementation and there no charge for licenses because we own WinSchool licenses.
