Determine your wages You and your friend are both working at the same location, working the same amount of hours weekly and making the same hourly salary. Determine how much you will make if you work 40 hours at $15 per hour and no more than 10 hours overtime working at 1 ½ times your hourly salary 50 hours total). Accommodations/Housing
Now that you know how much money you will have, you must determine a destination and find lodging during your vacation. Don’t worry, your parents/guardians will pay for their own room. You (and your friend) will only be responsible for your room. If you have a friend, the two of you will evenly divide all expenses. Determine where you will visit and the length of your stay. Show all calculations and explain each step thoroughly.

Vehicle Rental Are you ready for a road trip?! Your family has decided that if you are staying in North America, you will be driving. You must find a rental and: Calculate AND graph the unit rate of renting the vehicle Determine the roundtrip distance that will be traveled. (to and from the vacation location) How long will it take to get to your destination? Determine the miles per gallon (mpg)* of your rental. Calculate the price of gasoline (per gallon) in your vacation region. Calculate the amount and total cost of gasoline needed for your trip. *You can use Google to find the mpg of any vehicle.
