Membean Weekly Assignments:
Students are expected to log 45 minutes on Membean each week. While you are required to log a minimum of 45 minutes each week, your grade will be determined on a monthly basis.
Training should take place in no less than minute sessions on an every other day basis. You are free to set your schedule, but be sure to adhere to the every other day requirement.
You are always welcome to complete more minutes than required, but it still needs to be done every other day. Membean highly discourages training for more than 15 minutes a day. They also warn against training on consecutive days.
The Membean ‘week’ will run from Wednesday-Tuesday. All minutes must be completed by midnight on Tuesday night.
Your training minutes will count towards the Vocabulary Grading Category which is 15% of your overall grade.

At the end of each month, you will complete a Membean Assessment. The first assessment will have 15 questions. The number of questions will increase each month.

When you join the class, you should see your first assignment. Today’s article has to do with Community Gardens. Please follow the instructions at the top of the article. This assignment will be graded on completion as it is designed for you to familiarize yourself with the program.

Writer’s Workshop– Playdough Writing
Without talking, think about what you may want to build.
Discuss your ideas with your group.
Make a decision about what to build and begin building it.
Find one thing to change, one thing to get rid of, and one thing to keep. Continue adding to your creation.
Share your sculpture with a neighboring group. They should make suggetions on what to do to make it better. You are not required to make the changes they suggest, but it is always good to have an extra set of eyes look over your work to make sure you’re not missing something important.
Finalize your creation.
Let’s take a walk and see what our classmates have created.
