Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)
What is PSEO? Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) is a program that allows students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year to earn college credit while in high school

Benefits of PSEO Wider variety of class offerings
Opportunity to pursue more challenging coursework Tuition, fees, textbooks all included Access to all Student Services and clubs Credits apply towards high school requirements and college Can take 1 class or up to full time

Who is eligible for PSEO?
Juniors: Upper one-third of class rank OR earn a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA OR score at or above the 70th percentile on any nationally standardized, norm-referenced test Seniors: Upper one-half of class rank OR earn a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA OR score at or above the 50th percentile on any nationally standardized, norm-referenced test High School Sophomores: Pass 8th Grade MCA reading test Must be enrolled as a full time public high school student to apply

Courses NOT Funded by PSEO
Developmental courses (↓1000) Selective Admissions Program courses: Nursing Physical Therapy Asst. Study Abroad Outdoor Activities Skiing Snowboarding Camping Golf Music Lessons (if not in AFA program) Repeat Courses If students earn a D or higher in course, PSEO funding will not reimburse- student would have to pay out of pocket Only F or W grades are repeatable through PSEO

Transferring Credits: Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC)
A package of 40 general education credits towards a bachelors degree Accepted by Minnesota State Colleges & Universities University of Minnesota Campuses MnCAP Program Some private colleges The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) commits all public colleges and universities in the state of Minnesota to a broad educational foundation that integrates a body of knowledge and skills with study of contemporary concerns—all essential to meeting individual social, personal, and career challenges. Students who complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum at ARCC* (* with a cumulative GPA of 2.0) have completed the general education requirements at many Minnesota colleges and universities. Students must complete a graduation application to have completion of the MnTC recorded on their transcript NOTE: University of Minnesota’s MnCAP Program. The MnCAP is a cooperative admissions program with Twin Cities metro area community colleges. Students that enroll into the program and meet the program guidelines are guaranteed admissions into select colleges at the university. Participating U of M colleges include: College of Biological Sciences (CBS) College of Design (CD) (Housing studies, only) College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) (Family social science, only) College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) College of Liberal Arts (CLA) Institute of Technology (IT)

Transferring Credits: Minnesota State Transfer Pathways Associate Degree Pathways that transfer ALL 60 credits to a matching Bachelor’s Degree at any Minnesota State University*. Process with High School
While waiting on Acceptance to PSEO and to register for college courses, plan your schedule as if you were planning to attend your regular school. Sit down with Counselor/Dean and discuss graduation requirements and which courses at ARCC will fulfill requirements. ARCC does not know High School grad requirements!

After Acceptance : Accuplacer Placement Test
Anoka-Ramsey uses the Accuplacer test to determine appropriate placement into courses by testing students in both Math and English Study materials and testing schedule available online Students can place directly into college level general courses, and English and Algebra with sufficient scores on the ACT or MCA: Reading(General courses): ACT- 21 or higher, MCA R1047 English: ACT- 18 or higher, no MCA score applicable Math: ACT-22 or higher ACT, MCA depends on math course ( )
