A symbol, image or text that is transparent and identifies the original author or the specific intent of the document, photo, report or file

2. Why use it? Reasons to use it Identifies author
Marks intention – demonstrates classification as “Draft,” “Confidential” or “Do Not Duplicate”
Could be used simply for internal
Protects your work – potential copyright infringement

3. Tips
Should be transparent so as not to distract from the report, photo or document
Removing someone’s watermark can infringe on their copyright and is a potential lawsuit

4. Simple Exercise
Using one of your premade logos, use this PPT to impose your logo as a watermark in the bottom right hand corner of this slide presentation
Input also the words “confidential” diagonally across your slides
Hand this file into the Hand in Folder labelled – “PPT Watermark – Your Name”
