He learned to play the piano and the cello and took to drawing with a coach. Vassily Vassilyevich Kandinsky was an influential Russian painter. As well as that he was an art theorist. He was credited with painting of the first abstract works. In Kandinsky's works of his childhood period, he found rather specific colour combinations, which he explained by the fact that each colour lives by its mysterious life.
