Kandinsky was born December 16th 1866 Moscow, Russia. He died December 13th , 1944, Neuilly-sur-Seine. . Born in Moscow, Kandinsky spent his childhood in Odessa. He learned to play the piano and the cello and took to drawing with a coach. Vassily Vassilyevich Kandinsky was an influential Russian painter. As well as that he was an art theorist. He was credited with painting of the first abstract works. In Kandinsky's works of his childhood period, he found rather specific colour combinations, which he explained by the fact that each colour lives by its mysterious life.

Robert Delaunay was best known for introducing vibrant colours into Cubism for the first time ever, setting a trend later known as Orphism. His paintings expresses a great love, of what he sees.
