ELA: All students will work on the informational writing assessment during class this week. Biographical Project information will come home next week. However, students will get to choose their famous American on Thursday. Dudley/Burns Homeroom: Next novel, Code Talker Marrero Homeroom: Biography Study- Roberto Clemente 2nd Nine Week Language Skills: correlative conjunctions, reference materials (print and digital), synonyms/antonyms/homophones, comma rules for introductory elements, yes/no, tag questions, and direct address Writing Focus: Informational SCHEDULE: MONDAY: 4-H Mtg. TUESDAY: WEDNESDAY: THURSDAY: ELA Biography Project Choice Sheet sent home- due tomorrow FRIDAY: Progress Reports GT ELA Contracts Due: November 14th. Home time may be needed to complete this assignment. Reminder: Field Trip on November 16th. Math: This week we will review multiplying and dividing decimals. Students will take the Unit 3 test on Thursday, November 8th. Students received study guides on Friday. Once we complete the Unit 3 test, we will begin Unit 4 over fractions. SCIENCE: We are continuing to learn about earth’s landforms. We will focus on the major causes of erosion, their effects and ways to prevent it. County Unit Assessment is tentatively scheduled for November 15th. SS: This week students will be introduced to the US’s involvement WWII. We will begin by learning about the German aggression in Europe and the Japanese aggression in Asia. All major events including Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, D-Day, VE and VJ Days and the Holocaust.
